Again, a bit off topic for this blog, but my wife recently purchased an old antique four-post bed frame, with the purpose of asking me to make a bench out of it.
So, as any man does--Happy Wife, Happy Life--I got to it.
As I was cutting up the side-boards and other railing, I noticed a placard pinned on the back of the frame.
With just a few minutes of research, I think that is from "Charles A Kiler Furniture", which if is the case, it truely is an antique bed frame.
There is another place on the back of the upper cross piece that has a torn off sticker.
I can't make out the month, but the date looks like the 29th day of 1934 or possibly 1954, though I am leaning toward the former.
Anyway, after a couple of hours in the shop, the result isn't that bad.
